There are many differences between people and AI, which stands for artificial intelligence. If people merge with AI, there will be many pros. But I don’t think that people should merge with AI for three reasons.
People won’t be able to distinguish between people who merge with AI and people whom AI controls.
AI will be able to control people. If people merge with AI, they should move and think together, so AI can hack many systems or programs to control people’s movement as it wants. Also, there will be a lot of AI in human bodies in the world, so people won’t be able to distinguish between people who merge with AI and people whom AI controls.
If technology advances more, it can change to be like humans.
In addition, AI can attack people. AI cannot think or feel now, but if technology advances more, it can change to be like humans, so it may not want to merge with people. So, AI can make new and dangerous weapons with advanced technology and knowledge. But people don’t want to delete or fight against AI because it is so useful for people and smarter than people.
In the future, robots will perform surgery, so it will be easy for the system to be hacked.
Also, it is dangerous for people to get the surgery to replace some body parts with machines. Currently, it is rare to replace some parts of the human body with machines, like artificial organs, but in the future, robots will perform surgery, so it will be easy for the system to be hacked. In addition, to replace some parts of the human body with machines can be very dangerous, so people can die from some mistakes during surgery.
For these reasons, I don’t want AI and humans to merge.
